Scott HerrettHow to have effective conversations about issues you care about
Organising for climate justice begins in our own communities, but it can be hard to know where to start! Whether you campaign for better buses, stopping data centres or any other environmental issue, come along to this training to gain some practical skills for having effective conversations and gain support in your community about an issue you care about. We'll learn a bit of theory, practice on each other and then go out into the world and try chatting to people in real life! We'll also have a shared lunch and debrief session to help you plan future community outreach.
This session will focus on Friends of the Earth Aberdeen's campaign for public ownership of buses in Aberdeen, but the skills you'll learn will be useful no matter what issue you care about and want to get public support for. Everyone is welcome whether you've done this loads before, or it's your first try.
Access note: Steps with a stairlift. Includes accessible toilet
