Friends of the Earth Scotland (FoES) has always been built up from the grassroots, with our local groups forming the backbone of this structure. In the past 12 months we have been busy creating and reestablishing local groups across the country.

The local group convention will be the first of its kind for members and people interested in joining a group, to meet members from across Scotland. There will be a chance to hear inspiring stories of ordinary people fighting for climate justice from around the country. There will be opportunities to learn skills in organising, campaigning and how to get involved in running an effective local group.

The day will be a mix of talks and workshops with an emphasis on fun, usefulness and tailored to the needs of existing groups. The day is also open to FoES members, supporters and anyone who is curious to get involved in organising and campaigning for climate justice in your local area. So if you're feeling troubled by record temperatures, a summer of wildfires or devastating floods in Nepal, and looking for a way to get involved and make a difference, then come along and join many others in Scotland who are fighting for climate and environmental justice.

Progamme for the day TBC

The venue is fully accessible with snacks, drinks and lunch provided.
