Tell your MSP: No New Peterhead Gas

We all want a Scotland where clean, affordable renewable energy is accessible to everyone.

However, fossil fuel companies like SSE and Equinor have other ideas. They want to continue making huge profits from our energy bills by building a brand new gas burning power station in Peterhead, in Aberdeenshire.

The Scottish Government will decide whether this project can go ahead or not.

Scotland has already fallen behind on our climate commitments and new fossil fuels will further lock us into a polluting energy system.

Because it is a planning application, the decision on the new power station won’t be discussed in Parliament, so MSPs won’t hear about it unless we tell them.

Write to your MSP today to ask them to raise your concerns to Gillian Martin and Alasdair Allan who are the Ministers involved in making the final decision.
