Now that the election is over, new MSPs will have to deliver positive climate solutions that improve people’s lives.

This Scottish Parliament must deliver better buses, warm homes with lower bills and ensure our energy system is run in the public interest. These are vital demands that the public support.

These demands include:

• A national £2 bus fare cap for local services and support for councils to bring bus services back under public control.   
• An area-based warm homes programme, prioritising the 1 in 3 households that are in fuel poverty 
• Public ownership of renewables projects and manufacturing of wind turbines
