Learn how to have your say in a consultation about the plans for a new Peterhead Power Station.

Public pressure has successfully forced developers SSE to resubmit their Environmental Impact Assessment for the new Peterhead power station to the Scottish Government.  The company have now admitted that the climate pollution from the project could be nearly three times bigger than they first disclosed.  

Last year, we highlighted how the developers had woefully underestimated the potential harmful climate impact of the project. But the company’s claims on carbon capture have never been achieved anywhere in the world before.  

The Scottish Government has opened up a public consultation to let people have a say in this decision. This is a crucial moment to fight back against these polluting plans and show the people power behind this campaign. 

In the webinar, we will discuss the different ways that you can respond to the consultation and why this is a significant moment. We will discuss individual responses, group sign ups, and collective responses.
