What do you think of the outcome of the election?

Are you worried that the results will lead to more of the same, or even slower progress on dealing with the climate crisis, the energy transition, and improving people’s lives?

Join Friends of the Earth Scotland, Edinburgh Climate Coalition and XR Edinburgh for a re-energising post-election strategy session in the last week of May! We’ll be bringing together different groups working on climate justice in Edinburgh in person, and all over Scotland online, to share analysis of the election results and to put our heads together to make plans for the post-election period.

We have a whole new set of MSPs, and we can be strategic about how we communicate with them to make sure we’re making a coordinated effort. However, we also know that politicians are not going to save us, so we’ll also be discussing how we can build our movement so that it becomes unstoppable.

If you’re part of an existing group and want to find out about chances to work together, or if you’d like to get active in climate justice organising in your area, this meeting is for you!

We don't have a childcare provider at this meeting but children are welcome to come along and occupy themselves during the meeting.

Augustine United Church has step-free access (ring bell for attention) and a fully accessible bathroom. Unfortunately their hearing loop is out of order but there are mics available for speaking to the whole group.

There will be a light dinner provided at the end of the meeting and time to chat and connect with the other groups there. All food will be vegan with gluten free options available. Please let us know about any other dietary requirements in the sign up form.
